family run boutique hotel We stayed at the Hotel Cavalieri for 5 nights in October. This is a really lovely hotel, clean and friendly. Breakfast was continental / Italian style with a somewhat alarming selection of cakes and pastries. Still, when in Rome.....or Syracuse then may as well enjoy! We asked for an inner courtyard room as the hotel is located on a busy street. It was quiet...but very warm and we struggled a bit to try and regulate the temperature as the air conditioning was pre set and we couldn't get the room any cooler. I think because this was largely an internal room it may have been hotter than others but it did affect our sleep. The hotel has a roof terrace if you are looking for outside space. The hotel was well located just 5-10mins from the bridge to Ortigia island. Parking wasn't too bad - one of the reasons we chose not to stay on Ortigia itself was the reviews regarding the parking difficulties. There are a few more options at the Cavalieri - if you can't find on street parking then there is a pay public carpark not far. The street is one way though so if you dont find a space on the first drive past the hotel it can be tricky to back track - and the Italian drivers are not very sympathetic to your plight!

Elegant, well-located hotel. We were traveling with our teenage sons and stayed at the Hotel Cavalieri on New Year's eve. It is a beautifully-renovated property a short walk from Ortigia with free parking nearby. Our rooms were lovely, spacious, quiet, comfortable and clean. The breakfast room and sitting area exude contemporary elegance. We were invited to join the owners and their friends in a New Year spumante cocktail and antipasti in the "lobby" (which is more like a large family dining/living room) as we were leaving for dinner. We felt like we were guests in someone's home! The breakfast was fabulous with a wide variety of local products, including freshly squeezed orange juice, honey, cheeses, meats, almond pastries... We were sorry we could only stay one night. Only caveat - I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families with young children.

Warm friendly boutique hotel. Beautifully designed boutique hotel. Great service and well appointed rooms-- linens, toiletries, design, wifi. Location is ideal for visiting Ortygia and other sites. Wonderful breakfast buffet with good variety and service.
Rooms are small but all are located in the back of the hotel off the main road.

perfetto rifugio a Siracusa. Abbiamo passato quasi una settimana in questo bellissimo albergo Hotel Cavalieri. Siamo stati accolti con molto calore dai proprietari (sopratutto da Gianluca), che ci hanno dato degli ottimi consigli sulla città e sulla zona. Perfetta la posizione. La nostra camera era spaziosa, arredata con molto gusto e tranquillissima. L'ultima notte Gianluca ci ha fatto pure l'upgrade: la Suite Cavalieri! Ci siamo sentiti a casa! A presto!

Excellent Hotel. Great service, small, but nice room (16), good breakfast. Able to park on street close by. Stayed for 2 nights. Short walk to Ortygia where there are restaurants, shops and churches, etc to visit . Short drive to the archeological sites and museum.

Excellent customer service. I am most grateful for Hotel Cavalieri Siracusa for their great attitude and customer service a week ago. My family had planned a trip to Rome and booked a room for four nights. Unfortunately I wasn't enough focused when booking in the net: so instead of booking a hotel in Rome, I booked Hotel Cavalieri in Sicily. A very good price, therefore without cancelletion option. When late in the evening we arrived at the hotel in Rome that I thought I had a booking for, I realized my mistake. After contacting the hotel, they understood my pain and I was able to agree to pay only for the first night due to 'no-show' - but needed not to pay for 4 nights which they would have been entitled to based on booking terms. This I call good service and understanding the customer!

Finalmente un Hotel che mantiene quello che promette. Viaggio tantissimo per lavoro, spesso mi capita di vedere meravigliosi hotel nei siti internet, ma giunto a destinazione la realtà è totalmente diversa. Questo piccolo hotel a conduzione familiare è stato una vera sorpresa, ha confermato quanto visto su internet, anzi la ealtà è stata anche meglio.
Quando tornerò a Siracusa ritornerò sicuramente.

Meraviglioso! Siamo stati benissimo e rilassante all'Hotel Cavalieri. Hotel in cui siamo stati. La colazione eccellente e la posizione molto comoda. Dovete provare! Il proprietario, che è in realtà alla reception, vi dà hanno fatto mancare nulla locali eccellenti. Siamo anche stati fortunati con il sole: nostri capi e caldo. La famiglia che lo gestisce ha foto meravigliose e mobili antichi attorno.

Lovely palazzo, great location. We have stayed 2 nights in this beautifully renovated palazzo. When we first stopped in front of the hotel, we were assisted in unloading the lugage and then given free parking tips in the neighbourhood. Checkin was smooth and we were quickly shown to our room. The whole house/palazzo breaths charm and style. Our room was decent in size with a lovely bathroom (unfortunatly no bath, but a walk-in shower). Minor problem with the room: windows are only 1 layer of glass so not that soundproof.
Location is a plus, 5 minutes walking to Ortiga and 15 minutes to the archeological parc'
Breakfast was delicious and typically Sicilian: fresh pastries, cakes, fruit, granola,..., but no eggs.
All in all we had a great stay and definetely recommend this hotel!

Hotel con encanto. Estupendo hotel en Siracusa. Muy cercano a Ortigia. Hotel con encanto. Tanto las habitaciones como el desayuno son de muy alto nivel. Habitaciones con diseño moderno con un guiño a lo clásico en algunos muebles o decoración. Estupendo y variado desayuno de gran calidad. Al igual que el resto del centro de Siracusa, la zona daba sensación de tranquilidad y seguridad. Excelente trato por parte del personal del hotel.
Se echa de menos unos espacios comunes algo mayores. Y una zona de desayuno de mayor tamaño, aun así no nos vimos saturados durante de nuestra estancia ( 4 días, D-L-M-X)
Consiglio sulle camere: Algunas de las habitaciones dan a un pequeño patio interior sin vistas, y carente de interes.

The welcome and the helpfulness of staff. They are exceptional. The hotel is comfortable and well situated to explore Ortigia and Syracuse. We were there for a week and found plenty to see and to do.

Beautiful renovation -- modern with lovely old touches. We arrived late at night, and one of the owners was at the desk and managed our check in, brought in our bags and was so gracious. The suite we stayed in was gorgeous, spacious. And it had the best shower on the trip. Location was great. A little neighborhood one block away with a bank, pharmacy and restaurant. Was very, vey close to Ortygia. We just loved everything about the hotel.

"Hotel bellissimo" The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, and both the room and public areas are fantastic. The location is very central to the old town and restaurants, and the staff really friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here!
On Ortiga, I would go for a trattoria - we were not very impressed by Don Camillo (despite having a good reputation).

A Jewel close to Ortygia. We stayed three nights at the Hotel Cavalieri recently and can recommend it strongly. This beautifully restored, modern, small hotel is ideal for visiting Ortygia, Siracusa and surrounding areas. From the time we arrived, we felt welcomed by the Lo Manto family, who were helpful, courteous and efficient in responding to our inquiries and requests. Our rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The reception areas are beautiful. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but this is not a drawback because there are many restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was good, and refreshments could be obtained during the day. Parking was not a problem - we found a public parking space nearby. The location of the hotel on Via Malta very close to the bridges to Ortygia makes it ideal for walking to Ortygia. All-in-all an excellent hotel. Peter C from Canberra, Australia

Lovely hotel- excellent location. We stayed for three nights at the beginning of October. We reserved one of the two on road parking spaces outside the hotel for the first night, bit surprised at the 15euro charge but paid up for the convenience. It was easy to find the public car park nearby and free street parking thereafter.
The hotel is in a fantastic location for both Ortigia and the archeological park. It doesn't have a restaurant but staff recommendations for eating out were good - an excellent pizzeria virtually next door to the hotel for our first night when we wanted something easy after travelling. An evening stroll across the bridge to Ortigia to find a restaurant was a great part of the experience.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom lovely. The breakfast, and breakfast room, were excellent. The hotel has an air of calm and tranquility and was lovely to come back to after a days sightseeing. All staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and polite - but in a relaxed and unobtrusive way. A couple of minor niggles - parking charge and lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room - do not detract from the five stars given. We would happily stay here again and recommend it.

Ideal hotel for a peaceful holiday We stayed for 4 nights in September. The hotel is in a great location, on road parking is free on the surrounding streets although you may have to go round a couple of times to find a space. From the hotel you can easily stroll over to Ortigia (5-10 mins) or up to the Archeological area (10-15 mins). There is no hustle and bustle - just a quiet, cool, Italian gentility about the place and staff who where always charming, refined and helpful. Wi-fi was free, and breakfast excellent. Lovely bathroom. Would not hesitate to recommend, though maybe not for families with children.

The hotel was one of best in Siracusa. Very great location. The building a restored private residence of a noble family centuries ago. The hotel was restored without loosing the character of the building. Walking distance to Ortigna and main sites of the City...the owners are always on site. We were greeted by Giusseppe who was very helpful and the staff was very accommodating the day we were catching our flight home.

Lovely and Charming Lovely and charming hotel in the centre of Syracuse. The hotel is in a great location with friendly English, German and Spanish speaking staff. The room in which we stayed was located in the internal part of the building so that the window looked over a patio. There was plenty of natural light coming through the skylight. Sicilian bright sunlight! The benefit of this room was that it was very quiet. We found the room to be very clean and tidy. It is a perfect place to stay when you are spending your time exploring Syracuse an the area.

excellent location and service were excellent. if you are visiting siacusa as a tourist, highly recommend you check out this hotel. it is located close enough tothe island ortygia that you can walk there and back. if walking does not appal, it is only a few minutes in taxi. there is a plenty of bars and excellent sicilian restaurants nearby. service decor of the hotel and the rooms was ecellent. highly reommend thishotel.

Comodità, eleganza e disponibilità. Abbiamo soggiornato per le prime due notti del nostro viaggio di nozze in Sicilia in questo bellissimo hotel e ci siamo detti: se il buon giorno si vede dal mattino...semplicemente tutto perfetto. Interni eleganti, raffinati e perfettamente puliti. Posizione ottima per chi vuole visitare la meravigliosa Ortigia (5 min di passeggiata) ma anche se ci si vuole spostare in altre direzioni; Gianluca, il titolare, è stato gentilissimo e prodigo di consigli preziosi; colazione ottimamente fornita con dolci tipici, frutta fresca ed la parte salata; per la nostra prima tappa non si poteva chiedere di più.

Very pleasant stay at Hotel Cavalieri. This hotel is a beautifuly restored old palazzo. The decoration is tasteful and our room was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed. The bathroom was great, with a spacious shower and lovely mosaic on the walls. The matresses are very good, the bed linen is of superior quality, there is well performing air conditioning. The staff is so kind. Is there anything I would improve? Well, maybe freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast! [The season for Sicilian oranges starts again in November and lasts the whole winter. Since we prepare our breakfast with local fruits and products, guests during summer therefore unfortunately can not taste fresh Sicilian orange juice.]
We will definitely stay here whenever we go to Siracusa again, and we will recommend this hotel to all our friends. I cannot see how anyone could not feel happy here. Our warmest regards to GianLuca and the staff, you are all truly kind people, we hope to visit you again!

This hotel is lovely. The renovation of the old palazzo is perfect, and the decoration is straight out of a d ecoration magazine. The choice of colours, materials and furniture is excellent, our room was spacious, beautiful and spotlessly clean (when I say spotless, I really mean it). The bathroom was great. The hotel is 5 min on foot from the piazza del Duomo and the impressing old city. And the staff are so kind! We loved Siracusa and we loved the hotel.If we go to Siracusa again, we will go back to Cavalieri without hesitation. Good luck to Gianluca and all the staff!

Il est possible d'avoir une place de parking devant l'hôtel (indispensable car Ortigia se visite à pied) mais il faut rajouter 13 euros/jour au prix de la chambre. Le personnel est très serviable et vous indique spontanément les lieux à visiter et les adresses des meilleurs restaurants.

Raffinato. Ben posizionato... Subito a ridosso dell'area ZTL (interdetta a noi turisti) permette di raggiungere a piedi tutti i punti interessanti di Ortigia. Albergo ristrutturato con gusto si presenta con una pulizia da "sala operatoria" non si trova un granello di polvere a pagarlo oro. Abbiamo trovato una grande cortesia e disponibilita'... Più che in un albergo abbiamo avuto la sensazione di essere ospitati a casa dei proprietari.. Sempre attenti e disponibili ad ogni richiesta... Abbiamo trovato solo un piccolo neo... La camera aveva la vasca e non la doccia, oltretutto la vasca non aveva una tenda per evitare di schizzare l' intero bagno. Questo proprio per trovare il pelo nell'uovo. Abbiamo sempre trovato parcheggio e considerando l'alta affluenza di turisti, non abbiamo avuto grandi problemi. In linea di massima condividiamo il giudizio di expedia con cui abbiamo prenotato... Niente sorprese.

If you looking for a hotel in Syracuse, this is the place to stay. We stayed at this chic family owned boutique hotel for eleven nights. It was a lovely experience. Both the hotel and Syracuse surpassed by far our expectations.
The hotel is situated in a meticulously renovated old building in a central location in Syracuse, just a few minutes walk from Ortigia. The interior is very stylish; modern design is placed side by side with classic antiques and paintings in a superb combination.
The rooms we stayed in were of a good size, both with French balconies, and very clean. The hotel served a cold breakfast buffet with plenty of fresh fruits and cold cuts, as well as Italian pastries. The coffee was a delight.
The staff did everything they could to make the stay as good for us as possible, from the owners, concierge to the cleaners. We were greeted as close family. It surprised me that the cleaner even took time to hang up and fold my husband's clothes that he had left on the chair in our room.
Thanks to the whole staff at Cavalieri for making our stay such a joy!
If you looking for a hotel in Syracuse, this is the place to stay.

Good hotel. I spent here one night in August with my partner. THe staff was wonderful, the hotel very clean, the room perfect and tidy. THe breakfast had all good food. The only thing that slightly disappointed me was that they charge you 2 euros if you want to leave the luggage in the luggage room for a few hours the day of the check-out.

exceptional family run luxury hotel. Take a wonderful local family with a very talented architect son, add a prefect location minutes from Ortigia and the archaeological park (we walked daily to both easily), add a warm Sicilian welcome and imagine a minimalist design with understated super luxury and comfort - the result is the Cavalieri in Syracuse.
I stay in hotels 200+ nights around the world and I am hard pressed to recall a better and warmer experience last year. If you are in Syracuse then try and stay here - it may be a little more than other hotels but it is cheap compared to the value you get.
The service and kindness is beyond understanding - it is like you are part of the family.
Highly recommended.....

great hotel at a great location. This was a causy hotel, with great atmosphere and well located between the archeological park and the island of Ortygia. The stuff was friendly, they spoke english fluently and served wonderful breakfast, with local products (unlike other places we've visited). Highily recommended!

What a fabulous hotel. We found Hotel Cavalieri on Trip Advisor and were pleased to find that it lived up to the strong reviews we had read! We stayed for 4 nights in July and found the hotel to be newly renovated and every inch the boutique hotel it was marketed as. We were warmly welcomed by the family and given great advice about where to eat, what to see and the best beaches to visit. We were travelling with a 15 month old and he was welcomed as warmly as we were. Breakfast each morning was great and set us up for the day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and exploring the surrounding area. If you are driving, I would highly recommend booking a parking space outside the hotel, it saves the hassle of trying to find somewhere to park in the surrounding area.

Una perla nel centro di Siracusa. L'hotel e' situato a 2 minuti a piedi da Ortigia, elegante e confortevole all'interno di un antico palazzo dell'800. Tutto e' curato nei minimi particolari con arredo sobrio e moderno. Il rapporto qualita prezzo e' davvero ottimo! Avendo poche camere il servizio e' eccellente. Gianluca e' attento e premuroso, quindi mi raccomando fate pure affidamento sui suoi preziosi consigli.
Sicuramente se avremo l'occasione ci ritorneremo!!

Great hotel- should be 5 stars. We found this hotel on trip advisor and decided to take a chance as it was the only hotel that we were going to stay in that was not rated 5 stars. We were so pleasantly surprised! The service we received from Gianluca and from the entire family and staff was beyond top notch. The hotel, newly renovated, was charming, perfectly located, warm, inviting, clean, and beautiful. We would not hesitate recommending it to anyone. Enjoy your stay there, as we did!

Charmantes Boutiquehotel in zentraler Lage! Uns (Frau 35 und Mann 37) hat der dreitägige Aufenthalt im Hotel Cavalieri sehr gut gefallen. Positiv hervorzuheben sind:

Mooiste hotel van onze reis. We begonnen onze reis bij dit hotel. We mochten eerder inchecken. De kamer was klein, maar modern en stijlvol ingericht en schoon. De sfeer van het hotel is prettig. Het voelt lux aan. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, met verse vruchtensappen en goede koffie. We hadden geen balkon, maar hebben s avonds met ons eigen drankje op het dakterras gezeten, wat heerlijk was. Het centrum van Ortiga is op een steenworp afstand en je kunt er heerlijk eten. Als er plek is kun je gratis parkeren. Ik kan niet zo precies benoemen waarom, maar ik vond dit het fijnste hotel van onze hele reis.

Don't miss staying here. A really beautiful, small, friendly family-run boutique hotel in a great location. Although we stayed only one night, we wished we could havve stayed longer. Everyone was helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant they recommended for dinner was great - we never would have found it on our own . This hotel is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in anywhere! If you're thinking of staying in Syracusa, this is the hotel to reserve!

Gorgeous boutique hotel. The architectural background of this family owned hotel is reflected in the superb renovation of this old building into spacious, modern and tastefully decorated rooms.
Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was above average. The hotel is situated in a great location, an easy walk to Ortigia and many eateries.
We only had one night here, before heading to Taormina. In retrospect we would have preferred to have spent more time discovering Siracusa and Ortigia.

Bel hotel à recommander. De belles prestations pour cet hotel récemment rénové et idéalement situé. Bémol (il en faut): la douche dans la baignoire, sans paroi vitrée pour éviter les éclaboussures. Très bon petit déjeuner (charcuterie, fromage, patisseries maison, fruits frais...) mais servi dans une salle un peu confinée : l'aménagement de la très belle terrasse au 3eme étage, prévu pour 2012, sera un vrai plus si le petit-déjeuner y est servi.

Warm hospitality and modern room. We could spend a few memorable days in Syracuse since warm hospitality of the hotel staff and modern equipped interior. The hotel location is near the railway station and bus terminal. It close to attractive sightseeing spots in Ortigia Island. However, because of it located in the city, a good view from the window is not expecting.

We arrived late in the evening and having hired a car and found our way on the Italian roads, the welcome we received at the hotel made us feel at home straight away. Guisseppe was at the door to greet us and had a parking space ready for us, he then recommended an excellent Restaurant in town where we ate both night we were there. A delighteful hotel with delightful owners/managers :-)

Hotel Cavalieri in Siracusa is top class. Hotel situated at 5 mins walk from the Ortigia island which is the hearth of the town. The hotel has no restaurant (only breakfast), but there is a vast choice of restaurants and trattorie in Ortigia within 5 minutes walk. The Hotel, in my opinion, is top class, managed by the owner, who loves his job and provides an accurate service assisting the client at all times. Furniture is very well above standard. So far, I have been in four hotels in Siracusa; they were all good, but next time the Cavalieri will be my first choice.

Marvellous hotel We stayed in a suite in the Cavalieri and cannot recommend it highly enough. The room was more spacious than we expected, very comfortable and clean, and had miraculous double glazing which more or less shut out the noise of the busy road outside (the only thing we have marked down at all is sleep quality, because occasionally there was noise from motorbikes etc, but after all this is Italy!). The public areas are also very spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent, going on to 10.30 each morning.
The location, just five minutes walk from Ortigia, the historic centre of Siracusa, is also excellent, especially if you have a car - there is only one road into Ortigia, and occasionally it is jammed with traffic jams of heroic proportions, and once you do get in parking is limited. Staying at the Cavalieri avoids all that, with ample parking in a very cheap public car park just a block away. There is also an excellent pizzeria, the Pecora Nera, just around the corner if you want a quick meal.
However what makes this one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in is that it is a real family hotel, designed by the family, some members of which are architects, with two generations of the family working there. They are charming and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble.

Excellent, friendly, family-run boutique hotel, walking distance of Ortygia. I have stayed in many hotels worldwide and this is one of the nicest that I have been to for a long time. The hotel is small, but perfectly formed, and has been beautifully and sympathetically restored to a very high standard. Everywhere exuding a calm and restful atmosphere. The moment we walked through the front door we were greeted with friendly courtesy. All the rooms were well appointed, with attention to detail, and some bedrooms having twin beds which are getting more and more difficult to find.
The breakfast buffet catered for all tastes, from cereals, yoghurts, fresh orange juice, cheese and meat, to fresh fruit and sweet pastries, all beautifully presented. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
The staff were able to answer our many questions on 'non tourist' places to eat, both locally and on the island and where to pick up buses and areas to visit.
We also discovered a delightful roof terrace to relax on after a day's sightseeing.
My congratulations to everyone who helped to make our stay such an enjoyable experience.

friendly and helpful staff. Hotel Cavalieri is a well cared for hotel that is conveniently located a block or so from the bridge that leads to Ortigya. It's price was more reasonable then other comparable properties on the island. It is also a block from Europcar rental, which is a plus for anyone wanting to rent a car to visit Noto or other sites outside of Siracusa. My husband and I were pleased with our room which was contemporary in style, quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly, provided good restaurant recommendations and was very accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful and included yogurt, fruit, juice, pastries, etc. My only suggestion is that the hotel consider providing internet access to guests. I would stay at Hotel Cavalieri again.

Awesome Owner, Great Place, Easy Walk to Ortigia, Free Street Parking! After chaotic stints in Palermo and Agrigento. After winding down unfinished highways and through the villages that have seen better days Hotel Cavalieri and Syracusa are welcomed sights! This was our favorite city in Sicily and the highlight of our stay on the Island. There are wonderful restaurants in the old part of town. The square is one of the most picturesque in ALL of Italy, rivaling even beautiful Orvieto and Siena. The hotel is located just shy of the main Island and old sites. This is great because we were able to get free parking on the street and easy access to our car to drive to Noto and other close-by locations. btw- Noto is a must see. It's tiny, but packs a big punch.
As for the hotel, the staff was tremendous, english speaking (a perk in Sicily), friendly and always willing to help. The room was great, ac, comfy bed, and great pillows. The walk to the hotel, even late at night, is very safe. It's a very quick, manageable walk into the old town, where I'm sure there is no parking and difficult driving conditions.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat! I was concerned about the parking and the location, but, fear not. This place is Excellent!
The fish market in the morning is awesome. The main square at night is break-taking. Don Camillo is fantastic. The osteria on the small lane to the cathedral has the best pasta alla norma I've ever eaten. Enjoy this town and this hotel.

A small boutique hotel, modern, white and bright. Syracuse is a beautiful town in southern Sicily and Cavalieri an excellent starting point for visiting it.
A small boutique hotel, modern, white and bright, with impeccable taste in decor, the rooms simple but elegantly decorated, even sophisticated, a modern bathroom with all facilities. Very well located, a short walk from the island Ortigya is easy to park in white marks in the surrounding streets, or in a huge car park nearby.
The service is competent, caring and friendly, breakfast excellent, stuffed with homemade sweets.
I strongly recommend you to stay here if you visit Syracuse.

Hervorheben möchte ich, neben dem wirklich sehr schönen und sachlichen Design, die große Gastfreundschaft und die Freude an der Dienstleistung die im Cavalieri spürbar wird. Das Hoteliersehepaar, eine liebenswerte Österreicherin und ihr sizilianischer Mann (der das Haus gestaltet hat), samt Schwiegereltern, ist immer für die Bedürfnisse und Wünsche der Gäste da. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber, die schön gestalteten Bäder ebenso. Das Haus hat nichts von der oft so verstaubten Atmosphäre traditioneller Häuser. Alles ist frisch und hell und appetitlich. Die Lobby lädt ein zum Verweilen, das Frühstücksbuffet ist liebevoll arrangiert. Die übrigen Mitarbeiter im Hause sind wie die Eigentümer ausserordentlich darum bemüht, die Gäste zufrieden zu stellen, kümmern sich um Reservierungen, machen kompetente Vorschläge zu Ausflügen und Restaurants. Ein wunderbarer Ort und Ausgangspunkt für Städtereisende, die Sizilien für sich entdecken möchten.

Excellent boutique Hotel The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. Great decor and elegantly presented though not pretentious in any way.
The room we had, Superior Double, was spacious and had good facilities. Breakfast was continental only though still well presented. Breakfast room, cutlery, little plate for used tea bag; all exemplary. It's all in the detail.
Marie was a delight and very helpful. 2 out of 3 restaurants recommended were perfect. The third, apparently the best onOrtigia, was not so good but that in no way reflects on this charming Hotel.
I want to comment on Syracuse but not be negative ... it doesn't have the charm of other Italian towns.Ortigia was the best part, the remainder we found somewhat run down and shabby.

How do you solve a problem like Maria ?(from The Sound of Music). Hope you don't mind the play on words w/ the Title...Maria, co-owner w/ her husband, could not have been more accommodating and charming. The breakfast was great, as was the very short walk to the old city, Ortygia. My favorite memory is the totally-comfortable bed; relaxing sleeping accommodations in a brightly decorated room. Great touches of art and decor throughout this boutique hotel. (The only very small suggestion I would make is perhaps a shared public laptop w/ internet access to emails; limit each patron to 10 minutes. Everyone is thousands of miles from home and could use uplifting messages from friends and family. But, that would be just an added amenity to an already wonderful experience)

Wonderful hotel, great location, excellent serice. I agree with the other good reviews. The service was outstanding. THe family that owns the hotel is very welcoming and friendly. We had originally booked a standard room but we arrived a day early and all that was available was a superior room, which we liked so much we decided to paythe extra charge and remain for the rest if our visit. The only problem was the shower in the bathroom which s.omeone else mentioned. The shower head faced into the room and there was no shower curtain. Also the water pressure was inadequate but that was the only negative. They serve a wonderful breakfast. My son is a vegan and when he asked if they had Soy milk it appeared the next day at breakfast.
Everyone was very helpful in showing us how to get to the places we wanted to visit. They also recommended restaurants. If we ever went back to Siracusa we would certainly stay here again.

Pleasant Stay in Siracusa. We had a good break in Siracusa. The Cavalieri is well situated - turn right out of the door and walk up to the museum in Siracusa and turn left to visit Ortigia. We didn't have a car but found it possible to walk to all the places we wanted to see.
The hotel itself is pleasant and the owners try to create an atmosphere where you are more of a guest than a customer.
The hotel serves breakfast - anything else you need to go for a walk. We found a pleasant cafe 10 minutes walk away for coffee and planning our next route. There are a number of good restaurants around and about.

A very special, beautiful and comfortable hotel--highly recommended! I've stayed in many hotels and there are some that just stand out. Hotel Cavalieri is one. It is a beautiful "design" hotel but unlike some other "design" hotels I have stayed in, this one is very comfortable and the designer ((the owner's son) obviously gave great thought to every detail. Clean and beautiful bed linens and towels, beautiful decor, comfortable king size bed, sleek bathroom fixtures, great lighting, night tables,'his' and "hers" bath gels, beautiful public spaces for sitting, books left on a long shelf in the hall outside your door...it's a well appointed hotel. Breakfast was was dazzling-----including fresh blood orange juice. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and to give us good advice about what to see, where to eat, how to get places, etc. We cannot thank Giuseppe enough; he works evenings at the desk, and not only helped us find restaurants but suggested what we as vegetarians might eat at them, he helped with our internet connection, without asking printed out a Google road itinerary for our onward journey to Taoramina. In short, the hotel is beautiful, comfortable and all the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home---and in fact, they take pride in doing just that. The hotel is just 2 blocks from Ortigia and so its location is great for visitng the old city and the new and not in the middle of the touristy old city.
Area recommendations
I prefer this neighborhood because it is in walking distance to Ortigia (the old city) but not directly in it. Ortigia can get crowded and the streets are very narrow and difficult to deal with if you have a car. The hotel has many restaurants on its nearby streets and also many other shops nearby...

Couldn't have been better We could not have enloyed our stay here more and would heartily recommend it to anyone visiting Siracuse. A beautifully converted private house with smart, very comfortable bedrooms and good, light communal areas. Lovely designer touches. Owned and run by a friendly family for whom nothing was too much trouble. Helpful and good restaurant recommendations. We borrowed the hotel bicycles for a day and did all our sightseeing - a perfect way to get around, particularly on Ortygia where a car would have been impossible. Easy to find free parking for our car outside the hotel. The owner even lent me his laptop for ease of connection. Will recommend to others and hopefully return ourselves.

Gute Lage im Zentrum. Ausgezeichnete Lage im Zentrum. Parken ist kein Problem. Schön und angenehm eingerichtetes Haus. Zimmer ist funktionell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Nice Modern Hotel. The room is very nice with chandeliers. Even the toilet has a chandelier too. We had a good night sleep because the room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent especially the ricotta cheese and the meats (prosciutto, pancetta and the salami). The reception staff was very friendly. It is about a 10-minute leisurely walk to Ortigia. And we drove to Neapolis. Parking is hard to find outside the hotel, though if you can luckily find one, it is free. I only hope that they could place a computer in the lobby for free use by the guests. We are travelling from the other side of the globe and it is quite a hassle to bring a laptop or IPAD for three weeks on the road.

Qualità e cortesia. Ho soggiornato con mia moglie in questo hotel a Siracusa situato in posizione strategica per raggiungere la bellilissima Ortigia. Gestito con gran classe a conduzione famigliare, ci si sente a propio agio (come a casa propria), ottime le camere ben insonorizzate,spaziose e pulitissime, (ho girato molti alberghi in tutto il mondo a 5 stelle) ho riscontrato al Cavalieri una qualità di servizio decisamente all' altezza della situazione. la colazione è di grande qualità con un ottimo servizio al tavolo, fatta con spremute di arancio naturale torte freschissime frutta fresca e molto altro ancora. Un complimento a Gianluca e famiglia per la grande ospitalità e disponibilità data a tutti gli ospiti per il Capodanno 2001. Sicuramente consiglierò questo Hotel ad un amico. My favorite hotel in Sicily! Lovely hotel! We loved this hotel. After three weeks all over Sicily, it was our favorite hotel over all. Elegant hotel and the staff was very polite, helpful and just perfect. Best coffee we had in Sicily. The only negative side was it was not 100% sound proof... but very common problem in Europe. Perfect Stay! We travelled with our two daughters for three weeks around Sicily and stayed in about ten different hotels. Hotel Cavalieri in Syrakus was definitely the best! Entering this home you feel immediatly the warmth of the hosts. The owner did a very good job with the rennovation: light, spacious common rooms. Also our superior room was very spacious, comfortable and modern. The hosts gave us useful tipps concerning places to visit. Excellent breakfast buffet. We will definitely come back to Hotel Cavalieri!

Charming Family House. We stayed in Siracusa for a couple of days visiting my daughter who is married there. Wounderful city and marvoullous boutique hotel. Loved it! We loved this smart and charming boutique hotel. It was in the perfect location in Siracusa, right near all the sights and shopping. It is a brand new hotel with everything you could wish for! The owner and architect, Luka was his name, did an excellent job! Very helpful staff recommending best restaurants and locations. You have to take full advantage of the delicous breakfast! We even extended our stay because it was so good!!

Absolutely charming! Very elegant hotel in a warm atmosphere (even if i would personaly have had here and there some carpets, but this is personal taste!).
Crew is extremely nice and thoughtful! In the end, a very "familial" feeling.
3 mns walking from Ortygia, through a nice bridge where some kanoe-polo players play in the weekend. Only one little detail: the lack of storage space in the (or at least "our") bathroom (and maybe the crystal suspension are hung a little "low" for tall people). Anyway: we would definitely recommend this adress! My mother and I spent some very good times there!

Perfetto Boutique Hotel! Uno dei migliori alberghi dove sono mai stata: in pieno centro, su una delle strade che portano a Ortigia, che si raggiunge in pochi minuti a piedi. Hotel elegante ed arredato con gran gusto, un mix di design e bei pezzi di antiquariato. La nostra camera era spaziosa e con la vista sul cortile interno, molto silenziosa, bagno grande, sempre di design. Grande attenzione ai particolari nell'arredamento, finiture di qualità, in camera tutto quello che serve. Our room was modern, clean, and elegant. The hotel was recently renovated, and it has a modern feel about it with plenty of warmth and elegance as evidenced in the lovely crystal chandelier in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was super!

Wow, what a find. We travel to Italy, from Australia, every year or two and a find like this Hotel is rare. On our last trip, 6 weeks in Hotels, this was by far the best. We found our hosts charming and really helpful, and the recent renovation, by the Architect / owner is great. A 5 star Hotel at $ star prices.
Location, breakfast, parking, room comfort,great hosts, all first class.
We are planning to go back next year to explore the places we didnt have time for in and arround Siracusa, and will defenitly stay at Cavalieri.

An oasis in a sea of average hotels in Sicily. We stayed in a suite in this hotel for 2 nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We had been in Italy a couple of days and had stayed in a nice hotel and a shockingly smelly hotel. Hotel Cavalieri is non-smoking.
Big plus, it is newly refurbished and very modern whilst being in a beautiful old building. The breakfast was one of the nicest in the whole of our 3 week stay in Italy and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
We arrived tired and fed up from but our stress was quickly forgotten when curled up with a bottle of wine and nibbles in the fluffy bathrobes. The hotel is very well located, just across the bridge from the old part of town. Our room was on the street and was a bit noisy at night. However, there is air-conditioning and soundproof windows. A little on the pricey side but worth the money. We loved Siracusa and this hotel.

Excellent stay, I recommend this hotel. Nous avons reçu un excellent accueil lors de notre arrivée et de précieux conseils pour notre séjour (restaurants, plages, visites...).
L'hôtel est idéalement situé à l'entrée de l'ile d'Ortigia et facile d'accès en voiture (de nombreuses places de parking à proximité).
Le design de l'hôtel est contemporain et raffiné, il invite à la relaxation.
La chambre, très agréable à vivre, bénéficiait d'une très belle salle de bain (produits de beauté et savon personnalisés à l'effigie de l'hôtel).
Enfin, le petit déjeuner était juste parfait avec de succulents gâteaux faits maison. Je recommande cet hôtel pour son excellent rapport qualité prix, son emplacement et la gentillesse de ses propriétaires.

Hotel Cavalieri i Syracuse - elegant og sentralt. Vi var to voksne som bodde på hotell Cavalieri i tre døgn. Her møtte vi en både vennlig og profesjonell betjening som ivaretok de behovene vi hadde for hjelp på en god måte. Hotellet er ganske lite, svært elegant innredet og velholdt. Renholdet etc. er av samme klasse. Hotellet ligger i behagelig gangavstand til byens naturlige sentrum og til gamlebyen. Det er ikke restaurant på hotellet, men dette er det mange av i nærheten. Frokosten er vel også noe begrenset i forhold til hva en er vant til fra f.eks. nordiske hoteller i samme kategori, men fullt tilstrekkelig med ferske og gode ingredienser. I tillegg til ovenstående gjorde en flott takterasse det levlig for oss røykere, da hotellet forøvrig var helt røykfritt.

Lovely hotel - great location - charming and helpful owners.As you walk in you immediately see the owners' eye for style. The welcome was warm and genuine. Maria and Gianlucca (hope I spelt that right) proved to be charming, friendly and very helpful in all aspects. They gave great restaurant recommendations, based on their own eating experiences.
The hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the island of Ortigia, and our room was a cool and peaceful oasis of tranquillity. They don't advertise the rooftop terrace, and it is probably too hot for summer daytime, but we sat up there every evening after dinner, sipping drinks and absorbing the Siracusa buzz..
Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again if returning to the area.

Love love love this hotel!!! After staying in several hotels during our trip to Italy recently, this hotel was absolutely my favorite. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous and clean, and the breakfast was far superior to any other we had on our trip. I was so impressed, I am planning on recommending this hotel to everyone I know! It's in a great location as well... easy to walk to all the local restaurants and cafe's. My only regret is that we only stayed one night...

We were treated like royalty. We had a truly wonderful four nights in a very big room that accomodated the three of us (our 7 year old daughter). The staff knew our name from the minute we walked into the magnificant foyer, and no request was a problem. From organising our train tickets, advising us on tours and restaurants, they were fantastic. The hosts were helpful and delightful, our child still talks about Siracusa. The limosine shuttle to and from Catania airport was another excellent organized service. Will come back!

May be more 3*+ than 4. The lady at reception was extremely helpful, the breakfast far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is quaint though I would say the rooms may be more 3*+ rather than 4. I would probably recommend this hotel to a friend if only for 1 night.

If the guest refers to the taste of the room: Hotel Cavalieri was completely restored by the architect/owner reflecting a minimalist style of understated luxury. Maybe this guest was not in the mood to appreciate it fully.

Non chiamatelo soltanto hotel.. Più che in un hotel la sensazione è quella di essere ospiti a casa di una bella famiglia siciliana. Straordinaria la cura nei particolari, studiati direttamente da Gianluca, il proprietario, architetto e designer. Ci siamo veramente sentiti come a casa, tra lunghe chiacchierate di piacere e ottimi consigli per vivere al meglio Ortigia e dintorni.
Posizione perfetta sia per visitare Ortigia (il ponte è a soli 100 metri) che per raggiungere tutti i luoghi intorno a Siracusa (Noto, Oasi di Vendicari, Marzamemi etc..).

We hope to be back wery soon. We arrived at Hotel Cavalieri expecting something special, since we have read the many positive reviews on the internet. Once arrived, we were greeted in the best possible way by the owners and hosts, who made us feel immediately at home filling up with good advice on what to see, where to eat and where to go to sea. Advices which no guide will mention, only a local. The room was large, comfortable and quiet, furnished with great style. The hand of the architect was evident (the wonderful leather covered desk, comfortable king-size bed and beautiful mosaics in the bathroom). The hotel is all white and increases the feeling of brightness and cleanliness. Breakfast was marvellous, maybe the best ever we had in a hotel with fresh fruit and exceptional cappuccino. We will surely return with my family.

Perfect Hotel for Siracuse exploration. I travel 3 weekends out of 4, living in London and trying to check out cool places in Europe. I recently went to SIracusa and wasn't sure what to expect -- and stayed here based on trip advisor reviews. It surpassed my expectations for room decor, cleanliness, fantastic breakfast so a table full of fresh locally made pastries, and the 4 owners were so helpful and friendly. The the location is perfect to explore Ortigia -- central to everything. High recs and will return. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on.

White and Stylish. All in white, the interior of this hotel is very elegant. The lobby is very stylish, which is emphasized by the many art books lying around for your enjoyment. The room was quite small, with no view, but it was decorated in the same stylish way, everything was very modern, with apparent love to the details. The hotel made a very clean impression, which was probably emphasized by the "whiteness" all around. Breakfast was also good, great pastries, fresh fruit, and - as always - great Italian cappuccino, so you could really start your day with more than just the coffee (which is good everywhere).
The location is great, as you can drive to the hotel and park very close for free, or you can take one of the two reserved hotel parking spaces for an extra couple of Euros. We didn't do this and parked only 20m away.
The old town of Syracuse is within a couple of steps in very easy walking distance. All in all, a clear recommendation!

Heaven. We were delighted to spend two nights at this beautiful hotel. Elegant, simple, clean design. Breakfast was delicious (pastries - to die for), beds were comfortable. The owners of this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything inside the hotel is a pleasure for the eyes.
The pizzeria around the corner serves very good "thin crust " pizza and typical Sicilian antipasti.
We booked a parking place in front of the hotel for 10 (or so) euro - very convenient.
Don't think twice, book this hotel.
Note: For first time travelers, most hotels in Italy, including this one (although the other toiletries are high quality), do not provide hair conditioner - so bring your own. Don't let this minor issue ruin your stay in Italy.

Couldn't have been better. We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and unreservedly recommend it. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet (we had asked for a quiet room). It was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. The proprietors and all the staff were very friendly and most helpful (if we have one very mild criticism, they all spoke such fluent English that it was very difficult for us to practice our Italian!!). Breakfast included orange juice made from freshly squeezed Sicilian oranges - fabulous! Parking was a bit of a problem - but it is a problem everywhere in Siracusa!! However we always managed to find free on street parking close to the hotel and there is a public car park close by (charges apply 24 hours a day).
The hotel's location is very good - within easy walking distance of Ortigia - and close to the best shops! The proprietors (Gianluca, Enza, Antonino) will recommend restaurants - and the ones we visited never failed to provide excellent meals and wine (we recommend Yrmn - apparently made from a grape called Zibibbo). As well as all the cultural locations we also would very strongly recommend a visit to the fish market - a fantastic sight.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was of adequate size, very clean and with all ammenities needed. Great hotel, good location, excellent service. My husband and I recently stayed at Cavalieri in Siracusa and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is totally renovated and we found everything to be new and in excellent condition. We requested a quiet room and were given an inner courtyard room that was totally quiet in the evening. The bathroom had all new fixtures and all furnishings are new, well cared for and comfortable. The staff is friendly and interested in helping. Gianluca, the hotel manager, upon signing us in was happy to give us all the information we needed about sights in Siracusa, restaurants and nearby towns to visit. We found the location to be good for us--a short walk to the bridge over to the island of Ortigia and a pleasant walk to the Museo Archelogico.
We would definitely stay at Cavalieri again if we are fortunate enough to return to Siracusa.

A truly enriching experience. We prepared carefully for our few days in Syracuse and especially sifted through the web for a charming hotel. The reality surpassed our expectations: the Hotel Cavalieri is truly elegant and its uniqueness will hit you the moment you enter it despite its quite unassuming exterior. Everyone working in the hotel is solicitous and eager to please.
We had a very quiet room looking over a small courtyard opposite to the road. The view was not exactly breath-taking, yet we found our room to be comfortable, beautifully designed, and well-appointed.
We recommend it very strongly if you look for charm, courtesy, comfort, and felicitous location.

Lite svåra i början med incheckningen, så en liten varning för barnfamiljer, vi fick tex ha vår barnvagn i hyrbilen, de hade inte plats för den på hotellet, och vi fick inte ha den på rummet, men i slutändan bra service, erbjöd varm choklad till vår pojke till frukosten, mycket trevlig personal, liten men mycket bra frukost, allt var färskt, färskpressad juice. Rent, trevligt hotell, bra läge, ligger precis utanför centrum, lite dyrt, men man märker skillnad på standarden mellan detta hotell och andra som vi bodde på som var billigare.

Above average. We stayed with a friend for a weekend break to see Siracusa in Sicily. All of us are relatively seasoned travellers and we have to say that this hotel is certainly well above average. The service was excellent. Upon arrival we were even shown to our room by one of the concierge staff and were given excellent advice on places to see, dine and shop. They really took the time to work to our preferences and their recommendations were spot on.

Nice location, design hotel and caring staff. This property is managed by a wonderful and helpful staff, who care for their property (design, clean, comfort) and for their guests.
Location is just 5 minutes away from Ortigia - it has the advantage of being of easy access by car, with free parking places in the street just in front of the hotel or in the adjacent streets around the block.
You're here to have a comfortable room, not for a swimming pool, a gym or a business centre. Nice and quiet room with aircon, flat tv, spatious bathroom with amenities, and comfortable bed. Home-made cakes await you for breakfast - and a limited but fair choice of cold cuts, fruits, etc.
Definitely an excellent choice in Syracuse.

Diamo sempre un'occhiata a Tripadvisor prima di prenotare qualsiasi albergo e in effetti le indicazioni erano giuste: l'albergo è in ottima posizione per posteggiare e vicinissimo ad Ortigia, la camera pulita spaziosa ed elegante, la colazione ottima con vero succo d'arancia (finalmente), il personale premuroso nei confronti dei clienti. Iniziamo col dire che questo è stato sicuramente il miglior hotel di tutto il nostro tour. E' un piccolo boutique hotel di design, a pochi passi dall'isola di Ortigia, quindi comodo logisticamente e comunque centrale per i turisti (non ha parcheggio proprio ma nell'isolato si trova facilmente posto). Le camere e gli spazi comuni sono arredati con molto gusto e con un connubio moderno-antico molto piacevole (si vede la mano del proprietario che è architetto). La colazione è stata super-soddisfacente, con succo d'arancia spremuto al momento, torte e pasticceria di altissima qualità, pane croccante e freschissimo e frutta fresca (fragole, arance, mandarini, kiwi) tagliata a pezzi: insomma LA colazione che uno si aspetterebbe sempre e invece in altri hotel per un motivo o per l'altro mancava sempre qualcosa.
La vera differenza di questo hotel però sta nella conduzione familiare e nella cordialità dei suoi proprietari. Potrei dirvi che Gianluca è appunto architetto, che con la sua famiglia e la moglie austriaca hanno avviato da poco questa attività, che è stato un mountain-biker di alto livello, che ora pratica l'enduro, che ha paura dell'aereo :-), ecc. E come so tutte queste cose? Perché hanno "perso" del loro tempo prezioso con noi solo per chiacchierare amabilmente, anche se magari avevano altre mille faccende. E ovviamente non si è parlato solo di lui, ma è stato da subito prodigo di consigli su cosa potevamo visitare, dove avremmo potuto cenare, ci ha indicato su una cartina tutti gli itinerari da percorrere, insomma si è comportato più da "amico" che da "fornitore di servizi". Un esempio per molti altri albergatori di come si dovrebbe condurre un'attività e la riprova che questo comportamento paga è il fatto di essere già dopo due soli anni di attività nei primissimi posti del rating alberghiero (tripadvisor, booking, expedia, ecc.). Best in Syracuse, and Sicily. We had an excellent stay at this small boutique hotel. The owners work the front desk and are extremely helpful and friendly. Unlike many hotels the pictures of this hotel are actually very accurate. And we loved the modern design of the hotel, very difficult to find in Sicily. Wifi worked great (another rare thing in Sicily). There are some good restaurants nearby, but a five minute walk takes you into old town where you can find lots of choices. Their breakfast was simple but had the same quality level as the rest of our stay in the hotel. Parking was easy on the street one block away. We are hoping the owners open more hotels we can stay in. Highly recommended.

Great stay at a great hotel. My wife and I just returned from our trip to Siracusa and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Cavalieri. We absolutely loved the hotel, our room and most of all the owners. The location is ideal for sightseeing Ortigia, only 3 short blocks, but also for day excursions to Ragusa, Modica & Noto. Getting on and off Ortigia with a car can be a bit of nuisance that is one of the reasons why we chose this location.
This family run establishment goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests. The husband and wife owners, Gian Luca and Maria, along with Gian Luca's mom Enza, were awesome hosts. All they wanted for us & their guests was for all to be happy not only with their hotel but with Sicily as well. Their recommendations were all perfect. This made our stay so much more enjoyable. The buffett breakfast was robust with many different choices along with a most helpful staff of waitresses. Thank you Hotel Cavalieri for your warmth, friendship and making our stay in Siracusa and Sicily memorable and enjoyable. Continued success.

Stylish family hotel with charming staff. I am a 47 year old GP and travelled to Siracusa for an International Argentinian Tango Festival. Excellent hotel, very beautifully renovated, just a short walk from Ortigia, the beautiful area of Siracusa. Good bed, nice room, nice bathroom, very good breakfast with superb fresh orange juice and other fresh fruit. Very friendly owner couple and lovely other staff. Stylish mix of modern and classic - really liked it.

Ich haben meinen zweiten Aufenthalt in Syrakus im Hotel Cavalieri sehr genossen. Die Lage ist genial - in wenigen Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß alle Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist genial und sehr geschmacksvoll. Das Team an der Rezeption kennt sich hervorragend aus, jeder war immer freundlich und gerne bereit besondere Tipps über Sightseeing, Shopping, Essen etc. zu geben.

A charming, elegant hotel in a great location. We had a short break in Syracuse and chose the hotel after reading the reviews. Like others we found the owners very helpful and attentive, the room very comfortable, and the breakfasts varied and delicious - with a Sicilian emphasis on cakes - as well as fresh orange juice. A problem with our room on the first night was dealt with immediately it was drawn to the attention of the owner and entirely to our satisfaction. The free wi-fi included in our deal with the hotel was very useful - especially when trying to keep updated about the likley impact of the BA strike on our journey home!

Curato in tutti i dettagli. Ottima la posizione, a due passi da Ortigia, parcheggio gratuito davanti all'albergo, cortesia squisita alla reception, che ci fornito ottimi suggerimenti e piante della città. Indimenticabile! Ho passato con la mia famiglia un weekend a Siracusa e abbiamo soggiornato in questo delizioso hotel. E' stato semplicemente indimenticabile! A cominciare dalle camere: spaziose, arredato con un gusto veramente fine e sobrio. La prima colazione era ricca e varia con spremuta fresca di arance, dolci fatti in casa,.. Smart Townhouse. The Hotel Cavalieri is a very smart and comfortable townhouse in Siracusa. I was on a business trip and stayed at Hotel Cavalieri just for one night, but it was enough to have a very comfortable impression of the hotel room and the hosts. The breakfast was excellent with fresh sicilian orange juice. The location is very convenient in case you are travelling by car.

Todo ha estado al más alto nivel. La cortesía y cordialidad en el trato de los propietarios son sencillamente exquisitas. Las habitaciones son cómodas y están bien iluminadas. The Best in Sicily. I did a trip round Italy and stayed for a couple of days in Siracusa. Wonderful place and great Hotel. Very nice and stylish and calm room. The hosts and their son Gianluca were very helpful giving us useful tips of local places and restaurants. Delightful breakfast with homemade cakes. The style of the hotel is between classic and modern, very charming. Hope to come back soon!

Charme et elegance. Nous avons séjourné 9 nuits dans la suite de cet hôtel. Un accueil de bon aloi, beaucoup d'attention, des rapports sympathiques avec la famille qui tient cet hôtel. Un très beau buffet pour le petit déjeuner, de bons conseils pour les visites et beaucoup de prévenance pour faciliter votre séjour. Et ce qui ne gate rien l'hôtel est bien situé juste à l'entrée de l'ile d'Ortigiaou se trouvent la plus grande partie des restaurants. La restauration du bâtiment à été faites avec beaucoup de goût et cela donne beaucoup de charme à cet hôtel. Nous en garderons un très beau et bon souvenir.

L' hotel Cavalieri ha i suoi punti di forza nell'atmosfera di cordiale ospitalità dei proprietari (mai eccessiva) e di eleganza sobria e misurata caratterizzata da una grande cura del dettaglio. La stanza era pulitissima e ben arredata, ottima la colazione sia nei contenuti (gustosi dolci di grande varietà), che nella forma (servizi da tavola che difficilmente si vedono in un hotel 4 stelle). La posizione sul territorio è ottima.

smart luxury hotel. Our friends suggested us this small hotel in Syracuse, and we were not disappointed. The hosts are very kind and helpful, suggesting us excellent nearby places to visit and the best restaurants. The room was very nice with classy furnitures. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. They were even so kind and anticipating us some cash since our lagguage has been lost at Catania airport. Really very kind people and a very nice place to stay.

Einmalig! Ich kann das Hotel Cavalieri nur weiterempfehlen! Einmalige Lage: zwischen dem archaelogischen Park Neapolis und der bezaubernden Altstadtinsel Ortigia. Die Gastgeberfamilie war aeusserst freundlich und gab uns wertvolle Tipps ueber Restaurants und interessante Sehenswuerdigkeiten. Sie waren sogar so aufmerksam, dass wir einen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel hatten. Auch das Fruehstueck, nur vom Besten: hausgemachte Kuchen, Cornflakes, Muesli, einen Super-Cappuccino!

Un posto perfetto per un soggiorno a Siracusa. Abbiamo trovato l'albergo senza problemi e il proprietario affascinante trasferito la sua auto così abbiamo potuto parcheggiare proprio davanti all'hotel. Tutto era immacolata, la camera era confortevole e tranquilla e le colazioni erano meraviglioso. L'arredamento è elegante e moderno e attenzione pensato. Ci aspettavamo un e-mail importante e chiesto loro di stampare e contatto con noi, che hanno fatto non appena arrivati. Ci hanno dato ottimi consigli per posti per mangiare, e i proprietari non avrebbe potuto essere più dolce o migliore. Mentre l'hotel è su una strada principale, avevamo una camera tranquilla si affacciano sul cortile interno, quindi ho sentito alcun rumore. Ci tornerei sicuramente se dovessi tornare a Siracusa.

Hotel Cavalieri di Siracusa vicino al centro storico di ortigia e al parco archeologico. Io e mia moglie siamo stati una sola notte all'Hotel Cavalieri ma e' stata sufficiente per apprezzarne la posizione strategica (a piedi sono raggiungibili in 10 minuti lo splendido centro storico di Ortigia e in circa 20-25 minuti il parco archeologic con il magnifico teatro greco). Le camere sono moderne ma "calde" confortevoli e molto pulite. La colazione e' superlativa con dolci di manifattura artigianale e "vera" spremuta di arance.

A great welcome to Siracusa. The staff at Cavalieri were very friendly and helpful. The owner welcomed us with a drink (a kind of green mandarin juice, delicious!) made from fruit grown on his family's orchards. Nice if compact room in a lovely building. Close to Ortigia. Breakfasts were good: buffet of cereals, juices, pastries, cold meats and excellent coffee, of course. Owner recommended 2 excellent restaurants to us (Don Camillo was one, can't remember the other) and told us of others best-avoided. Siracusa is a beautiful town, well worth a visit. Food was excellent. Really enjoyed our stay there.

Different Trip. We didn't aspect that much from this trip, as soon as we spend there the first day we realized that Syracuse it a special, different place, the people, the landscape and the way of life it's great. You can find culture, pleasure and a relaxing and friendly atmosphere, especially the Hotel Cavalieri, it's was a beautiful and a really nice place with friendly people and an excellent service. I really suggest a trip in Syracuse if you are looking for a different travel experience.

Home away from home, luxurious & friendly. We stayed at the Hotel Cavalieri for 4 days and had an absoultely wonderful stay. The Management & staff were very friendly, welcoming & accommodating. They enjoy what they do which shows in how they do it.
Our room was well appointed, spacious & very comfortable.
The breakfasts were fantastic with a great variety of foods to choose from.
Finding the Hotel was a little difficult due to the Italian numbering system and the facade is not a typical Hotel facade but walk through the front door and you won't be dissappointed.
We intend returning to Sicily in 2012 and intend to use Hotel Cavalieri as our home in Sicily.

Hip and stylish. This is a very hip and stylish hotel conveniently located a few blocks from Ortygia. Upon entering the doors, you enter an oasis of calm and refinement of all white. The proprietors are very professional yet welcoming. Our room was large with an equally large bathroom (shower only). Bed was comfortable and a real double with comfortable linens and pillows. There is free Wi-Fi access (you need to request access). We had a car and were quite pleased that we were allowed to keep it parked out front in one of the two spaces reserved for the hotel, otherwise we would have had to find a spot or move it to a nearby carpark. Breakfast was standard with a variety of cakes and bread along with the standard meat/cheese, cereal and packaged yogurt. Toast is made on request. Eggs would have been a nice addition.
Suggestions: There is a hip jazz bar (Oz Jazz Club) located off the Piazza del Duomo, which is the main piazza in front of the cathedral, that serves great drinks and also has apperitivo - the only place we found in our travels thru Sicily that had apperitivo.

One word summary: gorgeous. In a single word, the Hotel Cavalieri is quite simply gorgeous. The proprietor's good taste and background as an architect are clearly evident in the exquisite blend of antiques and contemporary furnishings in the public areas. The large bedroom and bathroom represented modern taste at its best. Speaking of taste: the breakfast was ample, and featured some lovely cakes baked by the proprietor's mother.
The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes' stroll from the old city. Although the hotel has no parking, we had no problem in finding free parking (the white squares) in the surrounding streets during our 3-day stay. Last but not least, the friendly and helpful staff (mainly the proprietor and his family) helped make this hotel a place to enjoy staying in - and one we would happily to return to.

Hotel Cavalieri is a fantastic place to stay! There you do not feel like being in one of those unpersonnal hotels. There are just a few rooms and the owners of the hotel are taking very good care of their gests. The staff is very polite and discreet. The quality is excellent. The rooms are beautiful, stylish and clean (exactly like in the photos that are shown on the website). This hotel is also next to Ortigia (the small island at the end of Siracusa (Syracuse) and best part of Siracusa (Syracuse)) where you find excellent restaurants, tea rooms, shops. I do not think that there are many hotels like this one in the world. I hope that this hotel will continue to have nice gests so that this place will stay as unique as it is now!

Exceeded expectations in every way. Comfortable, stylish, spacious and spotless. A great value; this hotel MADE our 3 days in Syracusa. Great breakfast, impeccable service. Two minute stroll into the Ortygia. Linens, china, flatware, furnishings and ambience all of the highest quality. Comfortable bed and double-paned windows for restful nights. Gianlucca and his staff went out of their ways to assure that we were well-informed about the local history, restaurants and sightseeing. A pleasure in every way and much more than we had expected! Great place to stay - hidden gem. All the staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome & were given details of local attractions, places to eat, places to see outside the city & general information about Siracusa (Syracuse).
The hotel was clean & airy & our room was spacious & well appointed. A large bed ensured a good night's sleep. The hotel is in an excellent location with Ortygia just a 2 minute stroll away. The Greek theatre on the other side of town is also only a leisurely 30 minute walk away.
Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
A very enjoyable experience & many thanks to all who made us so welcome.

Wonderful. I agree with the previous reviewer. Just book it. The owners are a lovely family who really care about their hotel and how to make your experience a nice one. We liked it so much, we came back for 2 more nights. It was without a doubt the best place we stayed on our entire trip--both town and hotel.

Just book it. A snazzily refurbished boutique hotel that wouldn't be out of place in Soho -- except the guest rooms in NYC wouldn't be nearly as spacious! Airy, bright, light-filled common spaces and rooms. Classy appointments and furniture.
A fine complimentary breakfast. Great location, a quick stroll into the old town of Syracusa, a fascinating blend of old and new. A very friendly and accommodating staff that recommended a restaurant for dinner that wound up giving us one of the most delightful and delicious meals we've ever had.
And we got an unexpected bonus: upon entering our room, I could hear birds chirping. How nice, I thought. When I heard them again hours later, and walked onto the balcony to investigate, I discovered they were parakeets caged in an apartment across the alley. Sweet cheeps!

Lovely hotel with incredible hospitality. We stayed at the lovely Hotel Cavalieri for several days with our two daughters, (five and seven years old). Not a day goes by where my five year old doesn't talk about Siracusa (Syracuse), the wonderful hotel and the incredibly hospitable owners.
First of all, the architectural renovations were well thought out. It was so modern and clean, while still managing to preserve its rich history. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, but most important, the staff was outstanding. From the owners of the hotel, right down to the maid service, everyone was so accommodating.
I would especially like to make special mention of Mr. and Mrs. LoManto and the kind night manager, (sweet young man whose name escapes me). Mr. and Mrs. LoManto are such sweet and kind people. They gave us great recommendations as to where to eat, directions and wonderful sights to see in and outside of the city. They were so cute with my kids. Their faces just lit up when they saw our children and my children just adored them. They spoiled them every morning with hot chocolate and candy. We spoke with them everyday and really enjoyed our conversations and listening to their experiences. Mr. LoManto gave my daughter a little toy that she loves and talks about it all the time. The night manager was also so kind, pleasant and went out of his way to help us. We will always remember their beautiful hotel and all of the lovely people that ran it with such pride. I WANT TO GO BACK!!!!!

Un hôtel de charme! Je recommande fortement l'hôtel Cavalieri. Mon séjour de deux nuits a été très agréable. La chambre était très belle, confortable et grande douche. La climatisation très efficace (avec un contrôle dans la chambre). Les propriétaires de l'établissement ont été très aimables. Salle magnifique pour le petit déjeuner avec une belle présentation du buffet, très belle vaisselle blanche et belle coutellerie. Le hall d'entrée est très imposant. Décoration et architecture exceptionnelles. L'un des meilleurs hôtels de tous mes séjours à l'étranger. Le prix de la nuitée est très abordable. Merci aux propriétaires pour cette belle hospitalité car je garderai un très beau souvenir. Très bien situé, vous pouvez tout explorer à pieds : 5 minutes d'Ortigia et à 20 minutes des sites archéologiques.

l'hôtellerie comme on l'aime. bel hotel décoré avec goût, très bien situé, 50 mètres du pont avant d'entrer sur l'ïle d'Ortygie... un couple charmant vous accueille avec une gentillesse totale et une attention de tous les instants, vous offre à boire quand la chambre n'est pas prête de cinq minutes, vous conseille sur les bons restaurants de la ville. c'est calme alors que c'est sur une rue passante menant à Ortygie. Les photos de l'hotel correspondent aux photos d'aujourd'hui (cf voyage en aout 2009)....... nous avions pris une grande chambre avec deux enfants en mezzanine, chacun dans un lit séparé. Idéal, ils sont proches de vous et ont en même temps leur indépendance.

stylish and chic. i choose this hotel because of the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. beautifully furnished and very chic. we had a lovely room, and very spacious bathroom. parking is fairly easily found on the street in front of the hotel with no restrictions. the main old town is only a 10 min walk and has good restaurants and bars. the staff were lovely and spoke excellent english. would definitely return

Non vedo l'ora di tornarci. Albergo stupendo, recentemente ristrutturato, con arredamento ricercato e curato nei minimi dettagli. E' localizzato in posizione strategica, a due passi da Ortigia. Spotless, roomy, modern. We were very impressed with this hotel as soon as we walked in the front door. The first thing we noticed was how bright and clean it is. Brilliant white walls with modern furniture without being cluttered or overdone.
The room was spotless and had two luggage racks instead of the normal one we've seen in a lot of hotels which was a nice touch. Bathroom was clean and modern and shower was nice with decent pressure. The room felt as if we were the first to stay in it due to the overall cleanliness. The mini-bar prices were very reasonable and we ordered two bottles of wine to our room during our stay and they were both delicious, local wines without being over-expensive.
Situated about 200m from the bridge to Ortygia the Hotel was perfectly placed for us as we had a rental car. There is ample (free) parking in the streets outside and around the Hotel so we never had more than 30m to walk to from our car and most nights it was right outside in one of the reserved spaces.
The breakfast selection was excellent with a range of filled croissants, cereals, fresh fruit, breads, juices, yoghurts and other pastries so not shortage of choice. The fresh coffee was also excellent.
All staff were friendly and helpful - specifically the man who occupied reception during evenings/night-times. Very friendly and genuine. Considering the cost of our stay I couldn't recommend this Hotel and Siracusa (Syracuse)/Ortygia enough. Siracusa (Syracuse)offers a fantastic base to explore south eastern Sicily and this hotel, with it's ample parking and easy accessibility when driving into and out of Siracusa (Syracuse), is ideal for that purpose while also offering perfect location to explore Ortygia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice Oasis. Stayed at this hotel for one night. Very nice and modern hotel in the center of town. Free parking outside the hotel. Breakfast was nice, and everything else worked very well.

A Class act in every respect. I echo everything said by the reviewer below. This is an elegant hotel run by elegant people. It is immaculate, beautiful and well-situated. It provides a delicious full breakfast on beautiful china. My group took six rooms and each one was spotless and lovely. The taste reflected in the furnishings and fixtures is superb. This is a classy place.

Elegant and friendly. We choose this hotel because of the positive reviews on Trip Adviser and found it matched and even exceeded our expectations. The family who own it were so helpful and friendly that even if it hadn't been beautifully modern and chic it would have been a pleasure to stay there. In fact it was so beautifully designed it was a pleasure to return to every day. The home made cakes and dreamy danish pastries included in the breakfast buffet were to die for. The hotel is a 5 min stroll across the bridge from Ortigiabut this means it is in walking distance of the archeological sites of Siracuse. The room we had was small but lovely, the bathroom was a bit too small but then the hotel has been coverted from a historic house so not a lot of room to play with. This is not the place to stay if you want airport hotel style but if you want a beautiful cool and stylish small hotel, conveniently located and with some of the nicest people you could find running a hotel this is the one. And they are planning to add a roof terrace/solarium some time soon to make it absolutely perfect. We stayed in Siracusa for a week in May and fell in love with the town. The amazing Duomo square, the archeology and sense of history, the small streets in Ortiga and the relaxed feel of the newer town. In spite of the large number of tourists buses that arrive every day the town hasn't turned into a Tourist trap. Do make the effort to go to the quarry at the top if the town which is now a garden.

Curato in ogni dettaglio. Hotel elegante e curato in ogni dettaglio. Molto bello l'arredamento. Ottima la pulizia delle camere, fornite di ogni comfort. Colazione ricca e soddisfacente. Ambiente tranquillo e silenzioso. Disponibilità e cortesia del personale. Posizione ottimale per visitare a piedi tutte le più importanti attrazioni della città, dall'isola di Ortigia alla Neapolis, e per muoversi con treno e bus (stazione a pochi minuti a piedi). Insomma davvero ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo!

Recomendable, uno de los mejores hoteles de nuestro viaje. El hotel ocupa una antigua mansión reconstruida con una decoración moderna y elegante. A destacar la amabilidad del personal y de los propios dueños. Esta bien ubicado, cerca de la isla de Ortigia que es vista obligada. El desayuno es de buena calidad, pasteles, panecillos y zumo de naranja recien exprimido. Uno de los mejores hoteles donde nos hemos alojado en nuestra vista de 8 dias a Sicilia. This was one of the best boutique hotels we've ever used. Every feature of the hotel, right down to the light fittings and shampoo bottles, was about quality and good Italian design. The hotel staff couldn't be more helpful and went out of their way to help with maps, directions and suggestions. The hotel was a few minutes walk from Ortigia, there were some good bars and restaurants nearby and the breakfast was one of the best we enjoyed in all of Italy.

An elegant oasis of calm in bustling Siracusa. In the centre of Siracusa, just 2 minutes walk to the island of Ortigia, this is a small boutique hotel owned and run by Gianluca and his parents. Gianluca is an architect and he designed and converted this wonderfully elegant hotel from a run down and derelict building. You can be sure of a warm welcome here, nothing is too much trouble for your hosts. Step in through the door from a busy street and all is tranquil inside. The centre of the building is a light filled atrium filled with antique and italian designer furniture. Our bedroom was beautifully furnished, elegant, uncluttered and modern. All the furniture had been designed by Gianluca and manufactured specially for the hotel. Free parking is available either outside the hotel or nearby; we parked up for 3 days and walked everywhere.

Excellent comfort and hospitality. The Cavalieri has large and comfortable rooms and the owners are most attentive and welcoming. The breakfast is excellent. The location is convenient for Ortygia and the train station. The reception area breakfast room and other public areas are fitted out to a high standard and very well looked after.

A Real Find! The Hotel Cavalieri is a real find. It's a new, very well designed modern hotel in an antique building - gorgeous. Great attention to detail is paid in all respects from comfort and cleanliness through to a wide variety of choices from the extravagant breakfast buffet. Moreover, the design is practical as well as spectacular. We had a spacious room overlooking the street and it was very quiet due to well-made windows and shutters. The hotel is perfectly located to visit all the sights on foot so we parked on the street (no problem during our visit) and set off to explore. The hotel has a few reserved parking spaces but we found one easily ourselves as we pulled up to the hotel. The owners are exceptionally hospitable and even took the time to show us some historical family portraits dotted around the hotel. Siracusa (Syracuse) deserves more than one visit and I will cetainly stay at the Hotel Cavalieri again. Highly recommended.

A small jewel in Siracusa. We just spent 3 wonderful days in Siracusa and really enjoyed our stay in this boutique hotel. The hotel is really beautiful. Nice design, modern and comfortable at the same time. Our guests made us feel at home, they took care of every little detail and made our stay really unforgettable. Our room was beautiful, the bed very very comfortable, the bathroom nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious with home made pastry and nice china... We will surely come back to Siracusa and to Cavalieri hotel, one of the key addresses in Sicily!!

A fantastic time at the Hotel Cavalieri. We stayed at the Hotel Cavalieri in October for 4 nights. The hotel was tucked behind a grand door on a very busy street, but once you went through you were greeted with a very stylish and modern hotel. The bedroom was very modern, beautiful and pristine. The proprietor was extremely attentive with us, she gave us great advice and she always wished us each time we arrived back from our day out and when we went out in the evenings.
The Hotel Cavalieri is a short walk to the island of Ortigia and also not too far a walk to the Archaeological Park of Neapolis. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Grossartiges kleines Hotel! Meine Freundin und ich verbrachten 3 entspannte Tage im Hotel Cavalieri in Syrakus und waren vom gesamten Ambiente und Service des Hauses beeindruckt. Wir waren im ersten Stock im Zimmer N. 10 untergebracht: ein geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit einem wunderschoenen antiken Haengeleuchter. Das dazugehoerige Bad war einfach perfekt in Sauberkeit und Bequemlichkeit (Boden und Waende sind mit Bisazza-Mosaiksteinen gepflastert).

Outstanding hotel in Siracusa. My wife and I stayed at Hotel Cavalieri in Siracusa, a hotel we can recommend very highly. We had planned to stay only two nights, however, we returned to stay for a total of six nights. The owners, Family LoManto, were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast is just amazing with delicious, home-made cakes and other delicacies. Although the hotel's website is very good, the photos do not do full justice to the beautiful interior design of the hotel. Gianluca, the son, is a trained architect and this is reflected in great attention to detail. The inner courtyard, the public living room and our room were simply gorgeous. The hotel has been totally refurbished to the highest standards one year ago. Siracusa is a remarkably beautiful city and a good base to discover the Southeast of Sicily with its other gems like Vendicari, Noto and Scicli.

"Everything you could ask for!" I agree with all of the other positive reviews, this is a great little hotel! We booked for 7 nights not really knowing anything about Sicily or the Siracusa (Syracuse) area but were made to feel really welcome. It's easy to tell the hotel is being run as a labour of love by a dedicated family group who have obviously invested a great deal of time, money and effort into making the Cavalieri the modern stylish boutique hotel it is today.
Our room and the communal areas were spotless, the air conditioning coming in very handy - even in September Sicily can be hot, hot, hot!
After arriving one of the family members spent some time explaining to us where the nearest beaches/sights/restaurants were, at the time of writing they have a deal with a few restaurants in Ortigia giving you 10% off the bill. This will come in handy as you plow through the mountains of delicious pizza, pasta, calzone, seafood and bottles of red wine!
Every other time we spoke to a member of staff they were courteous, polite and friendly. In summary I can wholly recommend this hotel. It is clean, modern, very stylish and the owners friendly, go!

Lovely family run hotel - definite recommendation. This very smart and sleek family run hotel is a great base if staying in Siracusa (Syracuse). The decor is modern, clean and comfortable. The family are very willing to help with recommendations on where to eat or what to visit. It is located only a 5 minute walk away from Ortigia which is the area to visit. It's is also within walkable distance from the Greek Theatre although on a hot day it's probably best to get a bus. Also if you are arriving in Siracusa (Syracuse) by bus/train the hotel is within walking distance of the station. There is a very good continental breakfast offered in the mornings and everything was always replenished if running low.

"Charmantestes Hotel in Sizilien" Absolut empfehlenswert für einen genussvollen, entspannenden Urlaub in Sizilien. Wir haben die entspannende Atmosphäre des Hotels, die Gastfreundschaft der Besitzerfamilie, das mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Zimmer und natürlich das tolle Frühstück sehr genossen. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis - hier bekommt man auf jeden Fall viel mehr als man erwartet. Wir haben auf unserer 2-wöchigen Sizilienrundreise, die in Siracusa ihren Anfang nahm, oft den Charme des Hotel Cavalieri vermisst und es steht fest, dass wir bald wieder dorthin und ins schöne Siracusa zurückkehren werden.

"Loved Cavalieri!" We highly recommend the Cavalieri. It is just minutes outside of Ortigia. The owners, Signora/Signore LoManto were delightful, warm and welcoming. My wife speaks Italian, and that helped quite a bit. Their son Gianluca and his fiance Maria were great fun and attentive.
If you can, stay in the Suite. The hotel is very modern, and was completely redone by the LoManto family, whose son is an architect. Breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed at. The family was gracious. We can't say enough about this hotel.
The day we departed, Gianluca hopped on his motorcycle to guide us to the autostrada.
Only downside for some might be that it is not right in Ortigia (but only 5 minutes away), and parking is difficult.
By all means, eat at Ristorante Don Camillo and say hello to Giovanni and his charming wife. He previously visited us in California, and was very gracious when we stopped at his restaurant. Food is wonderful. Service very nice.

Hotel che consiglio caldamente per l'ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, per come è nuovo, curato, gestito ottimamente. Ambiente familiare, ottima posizione, a 2 passi dalla splendida Ortigia. Nessun problema di parcheggio, anche se l'hotel non dispone di una sua area privata, prima colazione curata, varia, e servita con tanta cura ai particolari. Ospitalità eccellente! Le camere interne sono peraltro davvero tranquille e la mia Superior spaziosa, arredata con gusto e dotata di tutti i comfort. Eravamo un gruppo di 8 coppie di amici e tutti sono stati felici del soggiorno. Abbiamo ricevuto disponibilità e attenzioni non comuni al giorno d'oggi! Se visitate Siracusa ......non perdetevelo!!

Ich war mit meiner Mutter und meiner Tante im Hotel Cavalieri. Das Hotel ist wirklich als 4-Sterne-Superior-Hotel zu bewerten; hat seinen eigenen Standard kreiert: extrem freundliches mehrsprachiges Personal, moderne elegante Einrichtung, man fuehlt sich wie zu Hause. Besonders gut fanden wir das King-Size-Bett: man schlaeft irrsinnig gut und will am Morgen gar nicht aus dem Bett. Fazit: kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

"Un hôtel très bien situé et une rénovation réussie" L'hôtel est très proche de la presqu'île d'Ortigie, le plus joli coin de Siracusa (Syracuse). Dans un bâtiment ancien, l'architecte a crée un espace moderne d'intention minimaliste très réussi. La chambre était un peu petite, la salle de bains confortable, le mobilier trop simple par rapport aux parties communes très bien meublées. L'accueil et le service sont irréprochables: chaleureux, attentifs. Une bonne adresse où loger à Siracusa (Syracuse), pour un séjour bref de préférence du fait de la taille faible de la chambre.

Ein besonderes Hotel mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet. Die Details bei der Einrichtung sind sehr gut. Das Frühstück war reichlich und vielfältig. Man ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuss in der Altstadt von Ortigia. Die Gastgeber haben uns Restaurants empfohlen, wovon wir eins getestet haben und ganz begeistert waren. Es ist eine gute Wahl für Paare, die sich für Kultur und komfortable Unterkunft interessieren.

"Style meets friendliness and service" Searching for a place to stay over in Siracusa we coincidentally discovered this small, but fine boutique hotel. Obviously we were intriqued by the photos and were in no ways disappointed. In every corner, in every room or part of the hotel you can sense the vision and the love of the owners to create a place that is unique, clear in design yet never forgetting the history of this fine old building. The service of the owners (actually I would love to say hosts) expands beyond the expected. This is not just friendliness for the means of it. Here you discover friendliness that comes from deep with in. By the way English is extremely well spoken. Not the standard in Sicily. And may I also add another aspect so not typical for many Italian hotels (even of this high ranking): here breakfast really means breakfast. Just a nice feeling to wake up in the morning with a nice espresso or cappucino and a delicious selection of tasty alternatives. Finally the location - in town but literally at the gate to Ortigia - makes this a very convenient place to stay. Highly recommendable.

Wir waren erstaunt ein Hotel dieser Qualität zu diesem Preis in Siracusa zu finden. Das Hotel schaut von aussen ein wenig nach einem alten Stadthotel aus. Es liegt an der Via Malta, einer der historischen Hauptstrassen von Siracusa. Von dem Hotel aus erreicht man in nur 5 Minuten die liebevoll restaurierte Altstadt, mit der Riva und vielen sehr guten Restaurants. Tortzdem ist sogar Parken in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hotels kein Problem! Das Hotel an sich kann man wohl kaum besser beschreiben als einfach nur geschmackvoll bis ins allerkleinste Detail. Es ist mit unglaublich viel Liebe eingerichtet und die Hoteliers vermittelten einem das Gefühl bei guten Freunden zu übernachten. Wir haben uns dort mehr als wohlgefühlt und möchten dieses Hotel daher auch allen Reisenden mit Sinn für Stil, Eleganz und Freundlichkeit wärmstens ans Herz legen.
